Storyboard and Chronology

What it does

The Storyboard workspace lets the author arrange scenes and chapters, then select lenses for reader-facing movement, links, and point of view. Chronology workspaces organize generated story-world order separately.

Why it matters

A nonlinear story needs more than one kind of order. Presentation order shapes reader experience, while chronology bounds what characters could plausibly know.

• chapter_order and scene_order represent presentation.
• chronology_value and generated sort values represent story time.
• The model supports both grounded dates and relative/deep-time labels.
• Character and point-of-view distinctions use labels plus a muted sage, ochre, terracotta, and earth palette—not color alone.
• Selected lens results stay in a compact summary; an explicit Inspect action opens focused detail without reflowing the board.
